About Us

Sienna Environmental Technologies was founded in 2000 by Susanne M. Kelley as an environmental consulting firm and laboratory to service the Architectural, Engineering, Construction and General industries.

With locations in Buffalo and Utica, NY, as well as a multi-disciplined staff, we have completed award-winning projects and a full spectrum of environmental, health and safety consulting services for existing and new construction projects. Our mission is to provide a safe and healthy environment for building inhabitants, and the lands the structures are built upon. Our expert staff identifies contaminants in the air, water, soil and building materials. Working together with the client, we will then recommend remedial solutions to make the building or site a healthy, inviting space to use.

Services

We specialize in hazardous materials inspection and investigation, testing, and remedial design planning for commercial reconstruction and renovation projects. We provide inspections and investigations, environmental specification writing and drafting, air quality testing and monitoring, and health and safety consulting. Sienna also performs various services for the commissioning team on LEED projects.

Staff

Our professional staff includes Planners, Project Designers, Consultants, Technicians, Risk Assessors, and Certified Industrial Hygienist support staff. All of our staff maintains current federal and state licenses and certifications, and all of our employees are trained in the industry's best practices for Health and Safety above and beyond federal regulations. We are certified by OSHA, EPA, NYSDOH and NYSDOL.

Sienna is proud to have served over 400 public and private clients throughout the Northeast, many in an ongoing relationship. We partner with professional design firms entrusted with reimagining public spaces. We also team with the construction companies who are charged with executing the building of the redesigned spaces.

Our clients include architectural and engineering firms, colleges and universities, public and private school districts, manufacturing and commercial facilities, construction management firms, utilities, and both federal and privately managed medical facilities. We have worked with several governmental agencies, including DOT, DASNY, OGS, SUCF, NYPA, VAMC and USACE.
