Roswell Park Cancer Institute - Cancer Cell Center Building 4th and 5th Floor Renovations

Nationally recognized as a cancer research pioneer, Roswell Park Cancer Institute (RPCI) is located on 27 acres of the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus and is affiliated with the State University of New York at Buffalo. Originating in 1897 as the first facility in the world dedicated specifically to cancer research, RPCI is the only upstate New York institution to hold the National Cancer Institute (NCI) accreditation of Comprehensive Cancer Center. 

Roswell Park Cancer Institute is located in downtown Buffalo at Elm and Carlton Street, with the central hub of the RPCI campus standing at 10 stories tall. Sienna Environmental Technologies, LLC completed environmental consulting and testing work on the 4th and 5th floors as a subconsultant to URS Corporation.  

At a construction cost of $3 million, the scope of work includes 17,300 square feet of research space to increase overall efficiency and longevity of the space. Sienna's scope of services includes both asbestos inspection and Polarized Light Microscopy lab analysis.  

Roswell Park Cancer Institute Provides advanced treatment of adult and pediatric cancer, as well as cancer education and research. The institute encompasses 15 dedicated buildings that occupy approximately one million square feet of floor space. Staffed by over 250 physicians and 500 nurses, RPCI currently has over 26,000 adult and pediatric patients under its care.
