Town of Lewiston Water Pollution Control Center

The municipally owned Lewiston Water Pollution Control Center, located in Youngstown, New York, underwent extensive renovations to its facility.  The Plant operates 24 hours per day and oversees the Town of Porter, Village of Youngstown, and the Town and Village of Lewiston.

Alterations included roof repairs and infrastructure updates to the Lewiston Senior Center and Waste Water Treatment Plant.  The damage was caused by a sleeve bearing that seized and caused an impeller to destroy the housing and pump shaft. The Town replaced the mock pump that is responsible for emptying water just north of Saunders Settlement Road.

Sienna's scope of work on the project included conducting a comprehensive asbestos inspection of the roofing materials prior to the repairs.

Sienna provided the following scope of work for the project:

  • Asbestos Inspection
  • Abatement Project Design
  • Project Monitoring & Air Sampling
  • Laboratory Analysis via Phased Light Microscopy
