Located on historic Linwood Avenue in Buffalo, New York, Baptist Manor is a 15-story, 126 unit housing development for low to moderate income senior citizens. As part of the owner’s goal to maintain the property as affordable housing, steps were taken to modernize the structure with energy efficient upgrades, greater accessibility, upgraded interior spaces, and an overall healthier living environment.

The project included the renovation of 15 floors in the structure and replacement of the aging roof system. The interior reconstruction was performed using a phased, floor-by-floor approach so as to minimize any inconvenience to the current residents.

Sienna provided hazardous materials inspection and abatement design services prior to the commencement of construction. Sienna then conducted project monitoring and air sampling during the asbestos abatement scope of the renovation. We also conducted laboratory analysis of samples collected throughout the project. O&M plans were developed by Sienna for the owner’s permanent use at the completion of the project.
