Sienna performed an asbestos inspection of the entire building, including roofing and exteriors, in preparation for renovation activities. Sienna also prepared a site specific variance to accommodate cleanup of the debris within the NYS ICR 56 requirements.

Reinstein Woods is the result of collaboration between grassroots activism and the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC). The preserve consists of 244 formerly private acres in the Town of Cheektowaga.

The Reinstein Woods Stone House, located in Depew, NY, was constructed in 1960. The building has undergone asbestos abatement over the past 10 years, however some insulating materials remained in the structure, requiring additional building spaces to be decontaminated and abated of the remaining asbestos-containing materials.
