Buffalo State College - Buckham Hall

Buffalo, NY

Sienna Environmental Technologies was contracted by Kideney Architects to provide construction site representation, hazardous material inspection, and design, project oversight and air sampling services during the demolition of the B wing of Buckham Hall.

Located at Buffalo State College, Buckham Hall is currently undergoing a large scale renovation as part of the college's Facilities Master Plan, which looks to renew aging facilities and improve the overall student and visitor experience on campus.

Sienna Environmental Technologies performed the following tasks for this project:

• Construction Site Representative Services

• Project Oversight

• Abatement Design

• Asbestos, lead, and PCB Inspection Services

• Asbestos Air Sampling

• Laboratory analysis of PCM air samples

• Cost Estimating

Buckham Hall currently houses the Buffalo State Day Care Center in its C-wing, and provides surge space for occupants of buildings that are under renovation. Plans for the renovation of the 23,300 square feet of space include a complete interior demolition of the first and second floors of the B wing, leaving only the outer structure and stairwells. The building will eventually provide a permanent home for several departments, including Humanities, Communication, and Modern and Classical Languages.

Sienna's construction phase services included construction project management, review and approval of cost estimates and RFI's, and coordination of contractor's schedules.
