City of Jamestown Department of Development

The City of Jamestown's Department of Development has worked to transform many of its residential buildings and landscapes. The mission is to promote revitalization activities in various neighborhoods in Western New York. Areas include North Main, Winsor, East Second, and Price Streets as well as Newland Avenue.

The scope of these projects  included cleaning, repairing or renovating substandard properties and bringing them into compliance with building codes.  Thus providing safe, clean and affordable housing for low income families, the elderly, and the disabled. Buildings that could not be renovated were demolished to make way for new development.

This development project also provided an opportunity with the Affordable Housing Program for ownership by qualified individuals who might not otherwise realize the dream of owning a home. Information and assistance to individuals and groups is a means of effectuating revitalization activities and enhancing the community.

Sienna provided the following scope of work for dozens of projects:

  • Asbestos Inspections
  • Project Monitoring & Air Sampling
  • Laboratory Analysis for Fibers in Air by PCM
