Canandaigua VA Medical Center - Future Cadence Square (Former Building 14) Renovations

The US Department of Veterans Affairs is funding a $10 million housing project that will provide housing for homeless and at-risk veterans and their families on the Canandaigua VA Medical Center Campus. Located in the heart of the Finger Lakes region, the Canandaigua VA Medical Center is comprised of 14 patient care buildings and provides both inpatient and outpatient care to veterans living throughout upstate New York.  

This 35,000 square foot project includes an extensive renovation of Building 14 and construction of an adjacent building to form the new Cadence Square facility.  With 15 transitional housing beds, 8 supportive living apartments, and 17 permanent housing apartments for veterans and their families, the program will also provide a mix of support services and be fully equipped to serve disabled veterans.

Sienna Environmental Technologies, LLC is providing environmental services as a subcontractor to Casenovia Recovery Systems and Fontanese Folts Aubrecht Ernst Architects. The scope of work that Sienna is currently completing includes: 

Hazardous materials inspections for asbestos and lead-based paint

Lead-based paint risk assessments 

Mold testing 

Environmental project design services for the abatement portion of the project

Laboratory analysis
