SUNY Plattsburgh - Mason & Moffit Hall

SUNY Plattsburgh, located in the Adirondack region of northern New York, underwent extensive renovations to transform three of its residence halls, Harrington, Mason, and Moffitt Hall. The project included renovations to sleeping rooms, providing a campus mail room, alterations to lounges and the Residence Director's office and apartment, furring and insulation of exterior walls, and replacement of the freight elevator.

Building renovations also included improvements to walls, floors and ceilings. Inside resident rooms, current wood wardrobes and room doors were refinished. Lounges were converted to ADA compliant single bedrooms, while two bedrooms on each floor were converted to lounge space with kitchenettes for student use. Exterior walls were furred with gypsum board and insulation to improve energy efficiency of the buildings. Original windows of the buildings were replaced in ground floor bedrooms, corridors and stair towers.
