Rochester Central School District - Benjamin Franklin High School

The Rochester Central School District, located in Western New York, recently renovated its Benjamin Franklin High School building, reinventing the campus as the Integrated Arts and Technology High School. Key updates for the secondary school included updates to the auditorium circulation and infrastructure, replacement of all kitchen equipment, and removal and replacement of interior finishes.  The Interior has been completely modernized to display the new creativity the Rochester Schools Modernization Program and community members are setting forward. The scope of work also entailed the replacement of the main elevator, making it more safe and efficient.

Exterior site work included the construction of a bus loop on the west side of the school building and the reconstruction of asphalt and concrete pavement and sidewalks associated with Kilmar Parking Lot.

Sienna assisted with asbestos, lead-based paint, and PCB inspection as well as design, bid and construction phase support to help make this massive and high-profile project a reality.

Students came back to a bright new school that provides a better school environment and atmosphere through completely upgraded classrooms, kitchen, renovated auditorium, energy-efficient AC system, brand new furniture, and a new main office.

Sienna provided the following scope of work for multiple projects within the campus:

  • Hazardous Materials Inspections for Asbestos, Lead-Based Paint, & Polychlorinated Biphenyls (PCBs)
  • Bid & Construction Phase Support
  • Abatement Design & Construction Administration
